For those of you choosing one of our package options – You will stay in our traditional Moroccan riad which is located on a quiet street in the bustling medina of Essaouira, just a two minute walk to the souk and many cafes, bars and restaurants. The riad has a fantastic roof terrace with stunning views over both the ocean and the medina of Essaouira, and offers clean, comfortable accomodation with a healthy breakfast each morning. Single, twin, double and triple rooms are available and all rooms have an ensuite bathroom.
The whole Surf Essaouira team made me feel welcome from the first day. I felt like a friend rather than a client (in a good way). My surfing coach was very professional and very patient: I managed to stand on the board the next day! The week was an absolute joy.
Surf Essaouira staff will show you all the hidden spots, take you surfing, and basically just leave you with a special form of Moroccan hospitality that is something you’ll remember for years
Washington DC, USA.
Essaouira is a late 18th century fortified medina and a UNESCO World Heritage listed town. It has long been a popular destination for many musicians, artists and travellers. Surrounded by ramparts and with a thriving fishing port, Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa are among many who have enjoyed Essaouira’s other-worldly charm. A great place to explore when not in the surf, there is a huge variety of cafes, bars restaurants as well as a souk with many exotic treasures and local produce. Guests will surf at a variety of surf spots ranging from Mouly North of Essaouira to Immessouane in the South. This gives guests the opportunity to not only surf different spots, but also to see some of the stunning Moroccan landscape and visit small villages along the way!
